About the District

Sisters Park & Recreation District operates and maintains several parks and the Sisters Community Recreation Center. We offer numerous athletic, fitness, and recreation programs for all ages and abilities annually. We also host several special events throughout the community.

Sisters Park & Recreation District is a special tax district, separate from the City of Sisters. We are governed by a five member, voter elected Board of Directors and managed by the Executive Director.

We envision a robust service parks and recreation district with facilities and programs to meet the needs of constituents of all ages. A high level of community participation leads to demonstrably better health and a stronger sense of well-being. Parks and recreation activities are served by a nimble and experienced organization, able to adjust quickly to the needs of the community and external influences.

Local Option Levy

In May 2023, voters approved the renewal of our $0.15/1,000 local option levy.  The funds are used to support programs and services identified in the levy informational flyer.
