Sisters Park & Recreation District (SPRD) will open registration for fall recreation programs and several winter youth athletic programs on Wednesday, August 6 at 7:30 am unless otherwise indicated. Registration for Kids Club will open on Saturday, August 2 at 8:00 am. Our fall program season is September 1 – December 31. Community members are encouraged to pick up a copy of The Nugget newspaper to view the full fall recreation guide. Limited copies are also available at the Sisters Community Recreation Center while supplies last.
How to Register?
- Online registration is encouraged! The fastest, easiest, and most convenient way to register is at www.sistersrecreation.com.
- Over the phone: Call our district offices at (541) 549-2091 for assistance registering for programs.
- In person at the Sisters Community Recreation Center: Walk-in registration is available at the Sisters Community Recreation Center (611 E. Cascade Ave.) during regular business hours for patrons that may need additional assistance.
- Kids Club registration: On Saturday, August 2 the district will accept call in only registration. The community can call (541) 549-2091 between the hours of 8:00-9:00 am and leave a voicemail. Voicemails will be returned in the order they are received. You must be available to complete registration over the phone when a staff member returns your call. Online registration will open on August 4 if any sports are available.
New Program Highlights!
- Adult Coed Volleyball League: Get your team together, league play starts September 15.
- Cooking for One: Designed for older adults and seniors, learn nutritious recipes, proper portioning, and how to minimize kitchen waste.
- Early Explorers and Music & Movement: Join Little Bug Play Hub in these two dynamic classes of music, movement, and exploration designed for 6 months – 4 years.
- Youth Basketball, Grades K-2: Now offered November – December to help reduce demand on gym space, practice times and conflicts with other district programs. Grades 3-6 will still be offered January-February.
- Youth Volleyball, Grades 3-6: An introductory program to volleyball offered in partnership with Bend Park & Recreation District – Saturdays only!
Financial Assistance Available:
SPRD offers financial assistance to qualified in-district households to help offset the expense of registering for activities. SPRD encourages community members to apply early to ensure your application is processed in time for registration.
