Guided meditation is especially helpful to people who insist they can’t meditate. What they usually mean is they can’t shut off their thoughts and sit in silence. This technique provides the background noise that allows the conscious mind to take a break while the sub-conscious mind enjoys a peaceful journey that then becomes the image for deeper relaxing meditations. Once you learn this relaxation technique, deep breathing becomes your trigger to relax… just before you give a speech, go to an interview, get on an airplane, or any other normally stressful event. Daily practice can lower your stress level throughout your busy day and allow you to fall sleep easily and sleep soundly.
